Our Connection to the Past, Our Commitment to the Future
Smith Dierking’s main office is located in the iconic Sunsphere, a 266-foot structure in Knoxville, Tennessee, that served as the symbol of the 1982 World’s Fair. The theme of this international exposition was Energy Turns the World, and the focus was on energy and electricity generation. The fair included demonstrations of state-of-the-art energy technology, including the latest in photovoltaics, as well as new ideas about energy conservation and sustainability.
Fast forward 40 years, and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, with its newly available transferable tax credits, is helping to deliver on those early promises of a better energy future.
